Just like a large manifesto in a document should be in the same character set and language as the document.

contain bugs, which can be exploited.

Just like said manifesto should not contain bugs (e.g, factual inaccuracies, grammar problems, etc.). I don't think there are any security worries with adding a --hangman option to ls.
