Correct.  No problem at all while on the private wire between the two
computers.  But then you forget that you had your most important files
available by Apache, reconnect to a different network, and your files
are left available for anyone to pull from your now public Apache
server.

No problem while on the private wire.  May be a problem if you leave
them available when connected to a public network.  But only if the
files are files that you care about keeping private.  If they are
Debian ISO images then of course those are already public and so no
problem at all to keep them public.
