Hello,
After many days trying to run Broadcom wifi unfructouslessly, I write
you again...
Doing # iwconfig, i obtain:
lo no wireless extensions.
eth0 no wireless extensions.
eth1 no wireless extensions.
wlan0 IEEE 802.11b/g ESSID:off/any Nickname:"Broadcom 4318"
Mode:Managed Access Point: Invalid
RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off
Encryption key:off
Link Quality:0 Signal level:0 Noise level:0
Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0
Tx excessive retries:0 Invalid misc:0 Missed beacon:0
sit0 no wireless extensions.
And when, I do # iwlist wlan0 scanning, I obtain:
wlan0 Interface doesn't support scanning : No such device
Why ??
Previously that, I made bcm43xx-fwcutter -w /lib/firmware BCMWL564.SYS
and I rebooted the laptop. I tried to do this in two kernels 2.6.18.
The results on booting are the same as my first message in this queue:
bcm43xx driver

bcm43xx: Number of cores: 4
bcm43xx: Core 0: ID 0x800, rev 0xd, vendor 0x4243, enabled

bcm43xx: Detected Radio: ID: 8205017f (Manuf: 17f Ver: 2050 Rev: 8)

Any ideas ??
Thanks in advance.
David
