It doesn't change the running kernel (by now). So maybe you have to be
careful compiling custom kernels with arch optimization ?
I started tracking this kind of issue, but can't invest enough time by now
(and for the next weeks).
Maybe someone else can add some information here.
Anything else should be configurable.
