I use the Debian source package to compile kernels, since my system is using 
initrd I need to use Debian kernels.

I will try to find the driver and disable it before I compile 
kernel-source-2.6.10.   I have only used kernel.org kernels in Debian when I 
did not have a system that was using initrd.
