double the recommended size there for the cache-limit.

apt-get install synaptic.  It works under KDE as well, and is quicker
to understand than aptitude. And it will show all packages from all
available sources more easily.  It won't clean up after your stuff as
well as aptitude, but that's what deborphan's for.

Be advised that libqt3-mt-dev install will rip out xorg. xlibmesa-
something or other is incompatible.  So you'll have to menuconfig or
something to config a new kernel build for the moment.
