Well, you will certainly need the wireless-tools package installed, and iwconfig might show you something, if your card has been detected when you plugged it in. What does 'cardctl info" or "cardctl status" show? What do you see from "lspci -v" regarding the card? There are actually two sets of drivers for the Prism cards, one lot in the kernel, and the other lot in the "hostap" packages, so you might want to try those drivers and see if they work better for you. Do you get modules loaded when you plug the card in? What does "lsmod" say before / after?
