Re: Network and Sound issues

As you describe the problem as urgent, I shall try to help as much as I can.

Please try to eject and insert your network card a few times, and see if
`dmesg' reports the some sort of hotplug event. If that is the case, your
pcmcia daemon is running.

Then, you would want to google for some drivers:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=Xircom+CE3B+-100BTX&btnG=Search

According to this hit, you'd need the xirc2ps_cs driver.
http://five.pairlist.net/pipermail/linux-laptop/2001-April/000149.html

Searching for this on google too:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=xirc2ps_cs&btnG=Search
And you've already got a manpage for your card's driver.
http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net/man/xirc2ps_cs.4.html

(And now, you're also pretty much into the way of finding drivers. ;) )

Regards, Anders Breindahl.

(The real knowing guys are more than welcome to correct me, here.)
