I am trying to install Debian on my Thinkpad 340. I have overcome the problems with the floppy by using: ramdisk floppy=thinkpad but come the end of the installation I get a error when installing lilo, also when prompted to make a boot disk instead it formats the disk but gives a possible write protect error after formatting. I have read about the problems with the hard drive controller and also used hd=767,9,32 for the 125mb drive it contains but this gives the same problem. Any help would be greatly received Thanks Rob |
