Re: 3d acceleration for radeon mobility 7500

thanks a lot for your answers, i managed to get the 7500 to work after
compiling a new kernel with the appropriate modules - it was indeed very
easy. as carlos said, no downloads from the ati page were necessary.

for the archive : a document that describes how to set up the thinkpad
r51 under debian sarge - including wlan (intel pro 2100), gbit ethernet
(intel pro 1000), and of course the radeon 7500 is available at

http://www.sp1r1t.de/networks/linux_on_ibm_thinkpad_r51.html

the document does not yet include the section on the 7500, but i am
currently finishing that part and it will definitly be there within the
next 2 days.

thanks again for your support,

Tim
