Looks perfectly OK, maybe a bit small for me.
Oops. I guess the screenshot looks fine -- it was just on my screen that
it was virtually unreadable.
Changing to 1400x1050 fixed that.
I also realized I wasn't loading dri and drm in XF86Config-4, so now I'm
getting much closer. I still can't quite get 3d acceleration,
though--here are the relevant lines from the log:
