Keyboard not run in Kernel 2.4.x / 2.6.x

Hi all, I don't know the solution for this problem. I install Debian 3.0 in a Packard Bell iGo 6208, with the kernel
2.4.18-bf24, but when I compile a kernel as 2.4.x or 2.6.x I can't use because the keyboard don't go :(

I extract de kernel sources and I write:

$ make menuconfig
(configuring the options)
$ make dep
$ make clean
$ make bzImage
$ make modules
$ make modules_install
$ cp .config /boot/config-2.x.x
$ cp arch/i386/boot/bzImage /boot/vmlinuz-2.x.x
& cp System.map /boot/System.map-2.x.x
$ mkinitrd -o /boot/initrd.img-2.x.x /lib/modules/2.x.x

I add at lilo.conf the file of image and "initrd=/boot/initrd.img-2.x.x"

And I reboot, I select the new image but... when all have been loaded, I try write my login but this is as is the
keyboard isn't present because in the screen aren't changes :((

PD: sorry for my English :s
