With 2.6.x you need to enable the PC speaker as an "input device": CONFIG_INPUT_PCSPKR=m (or Y to link it statically into the kernel) I built it as a module and also had to add pcspkr to /etc/modules. Dimitris. Jerome BENOIT wrote:
