printer problem and kde 3.2

Hello,

I upgraded kde 3.1.5 to 3.2
all my printers (network printers) were already configured in kde 3.1.5.
in kde 3.2 when I try to print, every applications crash.
Even the Control Center crashed after I opened the Peripheral-Printer
interface and tried to set up new printers. The previously configured
printers are not displayed, but

lpsat -t gives:

lbaliola@diomedea:~$ lpstat -t
scheduler is running
system default destination: 2200
device for 2200: socket://132.187.21.201:9100/
device for hp4500: socket://132.187.96.213:9100/
2200 accepting requests since Jan 01 00:00
hp4500 accepting requests since Jan 01 00:00
printer 2200 is idle. enabled since Jan 01 00:00
printer hp4500 is idle. enabled since Jan 01 00:00

lpc
status gives:

baliola@diomedea:~$ lpc
lpc> status
2200:
printer is on device 'socket' speed -1
        queuing is enabled
        printing is enabled
        no entries
        daemon present
hp4500:
printer is on device 'socket' speed -1
        queuing is enabled
        printing is enabled
        no entries
        daemon present

hence the printer are configured but something in kde 3.2 does not like them.

any idea how to solve it or where to look for a solution? thanks in advance
cheers Martin
