problem configuring pcmcia card

Hello,

I'm trying to use a cdrom and a modem/ethernet card on my laptop (asus L8400)
They are both detected at boot time, but I'm unable to use them afer.

The module are correctly loaded (lsmod looks OK), but I can't access those devices.
If you have any suggestion ???

For information, my cdrom is an archos external cdrom, and the ethernet/modem card
is a 3com 3CCFEM556B 10/100 LAN + 56K Modem.
I was able to use the modem card under slackware, but I can't figure out how to use it
under debian (my laptop has a winmodem...too bad).

Thanks in advance for your help.
Renaud
