I don't have a power button, I have a slidy widget on the side near my
cd-rom drive (which is *great* when you're tired and trying to burn
backups).
I just wandered away from my computer long enough for it to pull up a
screen saver (blank screen). This time when I hit the track pad it came
back (the way I'd want it to). Looks like I now have everything in place
for successful power management.
