lspci -vv "pcilib: cannot open,... error"

Does anyone know what this error is about?

This is happening on a laptop running debian woody 3.0,
2.4.18-bf2.4. I havent been using this laptop but i just
jsut started again. Before i stopped using it, it had a really
bad crash, i had to boot to single user mode only, any other
runlevel it would crash, then i graduately began turning on
services till it was running agian. Now that i haven't used it
in awhile, i'm having this problem, it doesn't seem to seem
its network device (eth0) anymore,
The pcmcia drivers are loading, i don't see tulip anymore.
but the lspci is what worries me, any ideas?
