You should tell us your operating system type first.
Maybe your laptop is running a Windows there ?
For linux, we would know some advice for you.
But first we need to know about what we're talking.
If it's Microsoft Windows, you should try to ask a Windows mailing list.
It's not our topic, you see;  it's is a linux list.
