pcmcia problem with 2.4.19

My pcmcia network card stopped working when I upgraded from kernel
2.2.20 to 2.4.19. I upgraded the kernel by apt-get install:
kernel-image-2.4.19-686
kernel-pcmcia-modules-2.4.19-686

I read where the new pcmcia required hotplug, so I installed the
hotplug package but it still does not work.

I am running Sarge and the card (a Xircom cardbus 10/100) was working
fine with the 2.2.20 kernel.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Doug

Following is what I get at startup:
