Re: Thinkpad T40p, linux 2.6, ACPI

Now that we have a number of other t40p users:
as regards ACPI: do you have the following running:
1. suspend: echo > 3 /proc/acpi/sleep
shuts down the system but seems to be using a lot of energy: the notebook
   remains warm at the bottom
2. after reviving I cannot use the usb mouse
3. hibernate does not work. any other experience?
4. CPU frequency scaling: I am using powernowd because it cranks up the cpu
once there is something to do (if I want to run a longer job I want to get
it done fast, also when on battery)
5. How do you have your BIOS configured: is the power management on automatic?
6. I have the red pointer working, but the touch pad does not work (may not
   need it, though)
7. on the logitec scrollmouse: scrolling does not cut it.
8. wireless LAN: works with the madwifi driver on the Linksys access point but
not with the DrayTek 2500WE: here I get Hardware errors, I can establish a
connection but it is very slow, i.e. unusuable.
9. poweroff: yes I had the same problem, but this turn off local acpi may do
    the trick.

If someone has had success in any of the above areas, I would appreciate the
configs to get the max going. (I suppose you guys would also be interested.)
