cardmgr: Resource temporarily unavailable with 2.4.x

Moin,

PCMCIA works fine for me, my network card is recognised perfect with the
kernels 2.4.17 (self compiled) and 2.4.[18|20] as debian package. Even with
2.2.20 (the kernel I used to install my DELL latitude 810) it works fine.

But when I try to use a memory card (PCMCIA or a cf card with an adapter) I
get an error message with a 2.4.x kernel.

socket 2: ATA/IDE Fixed Disk
executing: 'modprobe ide_cs'
get dev info on socket 2 failed: Resource temporarily unavailable
executing: 'modprobe -r ide_cs'

With the 2.20 kernel it works:
socket 2: ATA/IDE Fixed Disk
executing: 'modprobe ide_cs'

Weird that it reports hdc _and_ _hdd_, but it works. Of cause: I want to use
it with the 2.4.20 kernel.
There is a difference in the list of the loaded modules: i82365 is loaded
under 2.2.20, but not under 2.4.x (no such device)

Any hints?
