kernel-2.4.21, Thinkpad R31, apm/acpi

I have a 2.4.20 kernel with apmd working on the Thinkpad R31 I bought
last week after putting "apm-broken_psr" in my kernel options in
/boot/grub/menu.lst and removing most of the battery montoring
programs I tried.

I am now trying to get the 2.4.21 kernel working.  I used 2.4.20's
.config but now the compilation ends with

This error message was repeated many lines in exec_domain.c


Any ideas?
