scart is one thing..s-video another as far as i know..either you have ans-video plug on your tv or you dont..converters can be bought that converts-video to scart but my experience is that they dont work well.

From what you read from the manual, i dont think you have a s-video

capability on your tv.

Hmmm...I'm not really sure as the instruction manual is as usual very
obscure. There it talks about connecting the TV straight to an S-video
reproductor through the S-video plug (optional which I don't have). I've
got an AV2-S channel together with the usual AV1 and AV2. Does it say to
you that my TV's scart has actually got an s-video entrance?
