It must be missing siomething else as a shim over soundcore, cuz' your
lsmod actually *has* soundcore loaded.  See the second one down.

I'm booted under a kernel which has all my sound parts compiled in, but 
when they were modular, I had to make sure I had my snd-* module for my
card... much like pcmcia_core doesn't make pcmcia work, you also need
your bus support to be loaded.
