RE: Wireless

Thanks for all your help, i dont have a fstab line cause i dont want it to
automount, i only mount it like mount /dev/hda2 /mnt/win, but i'll check de
uid and gid, thanks,

the wireless key is 128 bit, i use the string not the HEX key, the iwconfig
is like this:

iwconfig eth1 essid Intermexico key s:xxxxxxxxxx [1]

i also used the HEX key once, but it cold be wrong cause its too long and i
did't recheck it like this

iwconfig eth1 essid Intermexico key
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [1]

hope you can help me

Could you send us the exact key (transposed a little bit for secrecy
if you like) and the exact iwconfig command you use?

I use an Orinoco Silver card with a Vaio N505VE and it works great
with WEP (though I use the 48 bit keys). I suspect you are specifying
the key incorrectly (it is an easy mistake to make, I've done it
several times).

Cheers!
