cannot mount audio cd

hello there

for some reason i can mount data cd's but not audio cd's. debian 
automatically runs a scsi simulator for my ide scsi cd-dvd rw drive. 
below is the extract from dmesg:

following is what i have for ide simulation in modules.conf

can someone tell me whats going wrong?
