GSM-Modem with PIN (f.ex. Nokia Cardphone)
Salve,
to use a GSM modem is like to use a GSM mobilphone first the input of
your PIN needet. All webpages that I found with
google "Nokia Cardphone PIN"
are saying, that disabling of the PIN is needed to use the Cardphone.
Unhappyly my GSM-provider does not allow to disable the PIN :-(
but Maximilian Pascher gave mit the hint to use gsmlib -
Thank you :-)
But I would like to know, how to use pon (pppconfig) without gsmlib.

gsmlib command to transmit the PIN to the GSM-device
#gsmctl -o pin 1234
------------------------------------------------------------------------
But how to use PIN without gsmlib ?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
The extendet AT-command for transmitting the PIN to the Nokia Cardphone is:
AT+CPIN"1234"
1234 is your PIN, attention, " is part of the command!
For test this you can use the modem-terminal minicom.
Do you know how to use AT+CPIN"1234" without gsmctl directly with
Modem-Init string in pppconfig?
I would like to mail every webmaster of pages which are saying now,
that disabling of the PIN is needed.
Greetings,
rob
PS: Is it write, that Nokia Cardphone is not supporting GPRS
nor is it possible to flash this device to do it?
;-(
