options during starting esd

Hi

I'm using gnome2 with it's sound server esd. What I want to do is to
give it options -nobeeps - terminate -as 5 during starting X (it's when
esd starts). I have modified the configuration file
/etc/esoundd/esd.conf and it looks like this:

[esd]
auto_spawn=2
spawn_options=-terminate -nobeeps -as 5
spawn_wait_ms=50

but, it still starts with only one option: -nobeeps.

Has anyone any idea, what I'mdoing wrong???

Please help me...
It's really annoying to kill each time esd, when I want to watch movies
with mplayer.
I know that I can use sdl:esd sound option in mplayer, but it slows down
my computer...

Thanks in advance...

P.S. If it was useful, I have Sony Vaio PCG FX215, with Duron 800MHz
etc...
