Hi Bryan,

if you haven't done it so far please go to 
http://linux-laptop.net/ibm.html and have a look. There are some links 
to Linux on the T23.

Your NIC is a PRO100/VE, an 'advanced' version of the PRO/100. The new 
driver e100 for this card will help you as also stated in the other 
post.
