Re: Inspiron 5000 text-console freezing, somehow linked to X ?



Sounds like a hardcore bios-bug, maybe you should try a newer/older
bios! 
Or you could try the synaptics touchpad driver from mobilix.org, it ads
some nice functions and you can skip gpm...but then it does not work in
console.
