Hi, are you trying to startx as root ?
If yes, copy /etc/X11/XF86Config to your root dir: /root
If you're trying it as user.. copy /etc/X11/XF86Config to your user
directory: /home/username

then try to start X (startx) again.

I had the same problem, after I've done that it worked..
