Yeah, start with /usr/share/doc/pcmcia-cs/{*ebian*,*2.4*}

Sorry, can't help you here. Look into /etc/pcmcia/*conf, for example
look for exclude IRQ and include memory. Here's from my
/etc/pcmcia/config.opts:

include port 0x100-0x4ff, port 0x1000-0x17ff
include memory 0xc0000-0xfffff
include memory 0xa0000000-0xa0ffffff, memory 0x60000000-0x60ffffff
# First built-in serial port
exclude irq 4
# Second built-in serial port
exclude irq 3
# First built-in parallel port
exclude irq 7
# AB exclude sound card on Compaq
exclude irq 5

I hope this helps! And that you never have to use the S... word
again.
