Working and economic wireless solution

Hi,

I am looking for a wireless solution for my laptop at home.  I will need
a PCMCIA card and an access point.  Later I might add wireless
connectivity for another laptop and a stationary computer.  I would much
prefer something that works out of the box on woody.

I have no idea about what to buy, so if any of you has advice,
recommendations or warnings, I would be very glad to know before
spending my money.
