Re: Dell latitude C810 - bios update

I'm not sure how the bios update have change my laptop. (800 c)
And I'm not sure this is "Working" or "Not Working" either. In 2.2.* offical kernal I'm able to use all the funcation key on including BIOS info update at running stage, batter change, sleep mode when lid close etc. but no ACPI of course. Then in my custom kernel 2.4.* with ACPI all function key will halt the machine including unpluging power source.
That's has been a pain for me.... any one get smiliar problem?
But for me both Bios version that I have work about the same way...

Thanks in advance

I don't know the latititudes, but certainly Inspirons are getting ACPI
bioses now, leaving APM broken. So, if APM matters, you probably need to go back to the previous bios. It's pretty sleazy, imo, but they only care that
it works on supported systems, and Linux on a Latitude is probably not
supported.
