Documentation/sound/mwave in the kernel source tree, give details on how
to get the sound functioning, although you can only get it to work as 8-bit
Mono. A lot of software now doesn't want to know about mono soundcards
though, so I also had to fiddle with the source code to ESD to allow
mono functionality, and a few more programs can work with that. Pester
me a bit more and I'll try to release the esd-mono patch.
