Re: Is it possible to use Carbus NIC on kernel 2.4.12 without pcmcia-modules?
Thanks Tom!
I'll try what you wrote.
But before I read you message, I read /usr/src/modules/pcmcia-cs/README-2.4 .
This file says
!!!Known problems and limitations:
!!!o With the introduction of the Hot Plug PCI subsystem, some CardBus
!!! drivers now no longer act like other PCMCIA drivers; most obviously,
!!! they don't interact with the PCMCIA device configuration scripts.
!!! These devices are configured using the "hotplug" scripts.
.
So I installed hotplug{,-utils} deb-package.
Then, I inserted CardBus NIC, I heard a sound "P, P,".
But I excuted "ifconfig", but it's in vain. ;-)
(Only "lo" appears on console. No eth[01])
Also, "ping www.debian.org" dosen't work. ;-)
The following is /var/log/syslog(As a reference)
