Re: X on Dell Latitide 'smudge'

I am using a Dell Latitude CPi D300XT and I do not experience this problem.
Of course I am running the following

Woody (unstable), KDE, and XFree86 4.something. In KDE it shows a vendor
release number (4003) for the X Server.

I also have not run Mozilla or Win4Lin on this laptop since I installed
Debian.

I don't know what options are offered under Potato, but I would first try to
upgrade X and maybe try a different window manager.

Do you have sound working? I have everything working with OSS sound support
but will try to install ALSA this summer when I have more time. I was curious
how difficult this is to configure.
