I have a USB mouse (Logitech Pilot Optical Wheel... or Wheel
Optical?), and it works just great both on my desktop (via USB->PS/2
adapter) and on the laptop.

You have to create device files for USB in /dev/input/ ("cd /dev;
MAKEDEV input" as root)

Then /dev/input/mouse0 is the device. Don't know how to get this to
work with gpm too (I've disable gpm on the laptop).

Bye, J

PS: I found the most useful info when I looked for how to get the
wheel to work (only had a classic three-button mouse before that).
