Quick synopsis of usable winmodems (sic)

	actually *supported*
	- IBM's softmodem for their thinkpad 600E.

	orphaned like the baby Moses:
	- PCTel
	- Lucent (available for both 2.2 and 2.4)

someone's working *real* hard - support up to v.34 and v.8:
	- Ambient Tech

At linmodems.org one of the links for PCTel leads to a fellow whose page
contains both PCTel and excellent Lucent info. I think the fellow's name
is Sean?

The winmodems(tm) by 3com, are not supported at all as far as I know.
