sound for Armada 4131T

  i'm trying to get sound configured for my Compaq Armada 4131T.
  has anyone on the list successfully done this?

  i'm running Corel Linux (based on Debian), kernel 2.2.12.

  i've tried adding sound support to the kernel, but i'm not
  having much luck; i'm new to Linux.

  any help would be appreciated.
