I believe there to be a setting, yes. If not, this sounds like a bug. if you
do not find the answer (and the docs don't enlighten you) mail the maintainer.
FYI: package_name@packages.debian.org goes to the maintainer of a package. So
say lilo@packages.debian.org goes to the lilo maint.
