Well GrandWiz,

	It just may be yer lucky day!! I too own a Digital Hinote ( a screaming
DX-50 ) that I ran into this glitch with. Take a peek at the following URL
and see if this may not apply to you too.
	REMEMBER!! if you are compiling your kernel on a bigger/faster machine, use
a completely different location for this kernel ( e.g. do NOT use the same
kernel for machines "other" then the HiNote!!). If you hack the kernel as
this article advises, you WILL notice a considerable slowdown on the faster
boxes!!
