I quick 'man -k mixer' revelled:

alsamixer (1)        
     - soundcard mixer for ALSA soundcard driver, with ncurses interface
amixer (1)           - commandline mixer for ALSA soundcard driver
mixer_applet (1)     - No manpage for this program, utility or function.
ymixer (7)           - No manpage for this program, utility or function.

I don't have sound working yet.. waiting for the Maestro3i drivers...
but one of these should do the trick.
