After loosing a Notebooks FlatPanel (burned out drivers) installing XFree
and two weeks trying to get this f...u. ICS to do what i want ...
i'm now happily running
debian on the desktop as THE server - you see what you do and it has
documentation!
and Loose98 on the Laptop.
Now they both do best they can.

The setup is: pppd to the ISP with dynamic IPadress, kernel 2.2 + 2 lines
ipchains forwards & masquerades IP from the ethernet to the laptop. pppd
asks the ISP for the DNS adresses, hands them to dnrd being the DNS server
for the WinDozes.

it's a snap, it's working, i'm happy! greetings, martin
