ThinkPad 560 and X (800x600)
I just cannot seem to get X working correctly on my:
- ThinkPad 560 (200)
- BIOS 1.20 (the latest diskette from IBM)
- 12.1" TFT
- Debian 2.1, kernel 2.2.1
- xfree86-common 3.3.2.3a-11
- xserver-common 3.3.2.3a-11
- xserver-svga 3.3.2.3a-11
It only works in 640x480, but that leaves the nasty big black
border. Trying with 800x600 either doesn't start or produces something
far away from synced (depending on which settings I use).
This is what SuperProbe reports (and cyber9382 is listed as supported):
First video: Super-VGA
Chipset: Trident Cyber9382 (PCI Probed)
Memory: 1024 Kbytes
RAMDAC: Trident Built-In 15/16/24-bit DAC
(with 6-bit wide lookup tables (or in 6-bit mode))
Most XF86Config's I have found that supposedly should work contain these
lines, but it doesn't work for me :(
