Hi all,

I would like to ask, if someone would be interested in updating the translations
for Debian's release-notes for the upcoming Trixie release.

The git repository is here:
https://salsa.debian.org/ddp-team/release-notes/-/tree/master/source/locales?ref_type=heads

and some statistics:
https://ddp-team.pages.debian.net/release-notes/statistics.txt

If you cannot push your work directly to git, feel free to sent it here
on this list or to the BTS, or create a merge request on Salsa.

I'd like to perform Turkish translations. Is there an easy way to create 
a directory for Turkish locales with empty template files?

Just from memory, you could try to simply add the tr directory with its LC_MESSAGES subdir in it, and then call "make update-po LANGS=tr".
That should do it.

There was an issue in the Makefile with update-po (introduced just yesterday).
Now fixed, so the above described way works fine now.

Hi Holger,

Thank you for the information. I produced the .po files, forked the 
project on salsa, and started translating them.

Is there a deadline for the translations? I guess I'll finish them in a 
week, but I'd need a few weeks more if I submit them to Debian Turkish 
Translation mail list and wait for the reviews.
