This is unclear to me. What do you mean by "the output is". 

What do you type ?
What did you get as result ?

As far as I remember (no way to check this right now), the version of
console-data in sid is the same than the one in Etch.

The last changes to the br-abnt2 keymap happened on 1.0.1-1 back in
October 2006. So, I see *no* reason that a bug in console-data is
responsible for what you experience.
