Description: ALSA driver configuration files
This package contains the ALSA initscript and various
configuration files for the ALSA drivers.
.
For ALSA to work on a system with a given sound card,
there must be an ALSA driver for that card in the kernel.
Linux 2.6 as shipped in kernel-image packages contains
ALSA drivers for all supported sound cards in the form
of loadable modules. For either Linux 2.6 or Linux 2.4
a custom alsa-modules package can be built from the
sources in the alsa-source package using the make-kpkg
utility (available in the kernel-package package). Some
pre-built alsa-modules packages are available in the
Debian archive. Please read the README.Debian file for
information about loading modules.
.
This package includes configuration files whose effect
is to prevent hotplug and discover from loading OSS
driver modules. If you want OSS driver modules to be
loaded by hotplug or discover then you must either edit
the relevant configuration files or purge (not just
remove) this package.
.
ALSA is the Advanced Linux Sound Architecture.

OSS is the free version of the Open Sound System.
Description-pt_BR: Arquivos de configuração do driver ALSA
alsa-source usando o utilitário make-kpkg (disponível no pacote
kernel-package). Alguns pacotes alsa-modules pré-compilados estão
disponíveis no Debian archive.
.
Alsa é a Arquitetura Avançada de Som para Linux (Advanced Linux Sound
Architecture).
OSS é a versão livre do Open Sound System.

Description: Traditional model for Apache2
This Multi-Processing Module (MPM) implements a non-threaded,
pre-forking web server that handles requests in a manner similar to
Apache 1.3. It is appropriate for sites that need to avoid threading for
compatibility with non-thread-safe libraries. It is also the best MPM
for isolating each request, so that a problem with a single request will
not affect any other.
.
It is not as fast, but is considered to be more stable.
