Here's mysql-server's debconf template translation for brazilian
portuguese :

Template: mysql-server/mysql_install_db_notes
Type: note
Description: security and update notice

MySQL will only install if you have a NON-NUMERIC hostname that is
is resolvable via the /etc/hosts file. E.g. if the "hostname" command
returns "myhostname" then there must be a line like "127.0.0.1 myhostname".

Please remember to set a PASSWORD for the MySQL root user !
See /usr/share/doc/mysql-server/README.Debian for more information.

If you are upgrading from a MySQL <= 3.22.10 you should run
the /usr/bin/mysql_fix_privilege_tables. Otherwise you will not be
able to use the new GRANT command!

I will ensure secure permissions of /var/lib/mysql by replacing GIDs
other than root and mysql with mysql.

O MySQL será instalado somente se você tiver um hostname NÃO-NUMÉRICO
o qual pode ser resolvido através do arquivo /etc/hosts. Por exemplo,
se o comando "hostname" retorna "meuhostname" então deverá existir uma
linha como "127.0.01 meuhostname" no arquivo /etc/hosts.

Se você está atualizando de um MySQL <= (menor ou igual a) 3.22.10 você
deverá executar o /usr/bin/mysql_fix_privilege_tables. De outra forma
você não conseguirá utilizar o novo comando GRANT !

Eu assegurarei permissões de segurança de /var/lib/mysql substituindo
GIDs diferentes de root e mysql para mysql.

MySQL is able to jail itself into the /var/lib/mysql_jail directory so that
users cannot modify any files outside this directory. This improves
resistence against crackers, too, as they are not able to modify system files.

O MySQL é capaz de enjaular a si mesmo no diretório /var/lib/mysql_jail,
assim usuários não poderão modificar arquivos fora deste diretório. Isto
aumenta também a resistência contra crackers, pois eles não poderão
modificar arquivos de sistema.
