Here's alsa-base's debconf template translation for brazilian
portuguese :

Type: boolean
Default: false
Description: Stop ALSA drivers forcibly before suspend?
With some chipsets, the kernel may hang after your machine, especially
laptop, is resumed by Advanced Power Management (APM). . If this feature
is enabled, the Debian ALSA system will unload the driver before
suspending the machine, in order to prevent that kernel hanging. If you
don't suspend your laptop, or your laptop doesn't hang after resuming,
then you don't need to say Yes here.

Note: If you want to use this feature, you need to install apmd package.
Description-pt_BR: Forçar a parada dos drivers ALSA antes de suspender ?
Com alguns chipsets, o kernel pode travar depois que sua máquina,
especialmente laptop, é reiniciada pelo Gerenciamento de Energia
Avançado (APM). Se este recurso está habilitado, o sistema ALSA Debian
irá descarregar o driver antes de suspender a máquina para prevenir
o travamento do kernel. Se você não suspende seu laptop, ou se seu laptop
não trava depois de reiniciar, você não precisa reponder sim aqui.

Nota: Se você quer usar este recurso, você precisa instalar o pacote
apmd.

Debian ALSA now checks the currently installed version of the ALSA driver
and automatically initializes it using the appropriate configuration file
stored under /etc/alsa/modutils at startup time.

I see that you have a file /etc/modutils/alsa. Should I relocate this to
/etc/alsa/modutils/${ver} and link /etc/modutils/alsa to your file? This
is required for the automatic initialization to work correctly. If you
say No then the file will not be moved and will continue to be used as the
configuration file for all versions of the ALSA driver.

The script should detect when the /etc/modutils/alsa file is already a
link rather than a legacy configuration script!

O ALSA Debian agora checa a versão atualmente instalada do driver ALSA e
automaticamente o inicializa usando o arquivo de configuração apropriado
guardado sob /etc/alsa/modutils em tempo de inicialização.

Vejo que você tem um arquivo /etc/modutils/alsa. Devo realocá-lo para
/etc/alsa/modutils/${ver} e apontar /etc/modutils/alsa para seu arquivo ?
Isto é necessário para a inicialização automática funcionar corretamente.
Se você disser Não então o arquivo não será movido e continuará a ser
usado como o arquivo de configuração para todas as versões do driver
ALSA.

O script deverá detectar quando o arquivo /etc/modutils/alsa já é uma
ligação ao invés de um script de configuração de legado !

OSS compatibility modules are useful if your kernel has no kmod or has
devfs support. Under the kernel with devfs support, the standard audio
device files are created at run-time when the ALSA driver is loaded. This
means you can use audio applications which use the standard audio device
files under the devfs kernel only when the driver can detect your audio
device and it sucessfully works.
Description-pt_BR: Gostaria de carregar compatibilidade OSS quando o ALSA inicia ?
Módulos de compatibilidade OSS são úteis se seu kernel não possui kmod ou
tem suporte devfs. Sob kernel com suporte devfs, os arquivos de
dispositivos de áudio padrões são criados em tempo de execução quando o
driver ALSA é carregado. Isto significa que você pode usar aplicações de
áudio as quais usam arquivos de dispsitivos de áudio padrões sob o kernel
devfs somente quando o driver pode detectar seu dispositivo de áudio e
funciona com sucesso.
